The Mississippi State Hospital Graduate Medical Education Foundation is a Mississippi Nonprofit Corporation founded in 2021 to assist in supporting the educational needs and charitable efforts of future Mississippi psychiatrists trained at the Mississippi State Hospital Psychiatry Residency Program.   

The goals of the Foundation include rewarding psychiatry physicians-in-training who have shown spectacular dedication to educational efforts, patient care, and charitable mental health community outreach by recognizing these individuals who have exceeded expectations. The Foundation seeks to promote physician wellness by providing resources and team-building activities to prevent burnout. Lastly, the Foundation seeks to assist physicians-in-training with promoting awareness of mental health issues and providing prevention strategies and resources to the public.
